Localization and CAT.

When A.D.T. International translates large documents containing sections that are repetitive and liable to be updated several times, the translators use computer-assisted translation (CAT) software. A.D.T. International generally uses TRADOS Translator’s Workbench. This tool represents the state of the art in terms of flexible and efficient management of linguistic data.

NB: this is not translation software. It only enables the user to locate previous translations in order to ensure consistency and save time.

It provides rapid access to previous translations of sentences, words and even segments of sentences, thereby freeing the translator from tedious and repetitive tasks while maintaining standardized terminology.
